On October 17 to 19, 2025, hundreds of people will climb a dozen mountains across Québec to celebrate life and remind us of the vital importance of in-school education on organ and tissue donation. Join the movement and take part in this event filled with hope.

11th Edition – October 17, 18, and 19, 2025 – As part of World Organ and Tissue Donation Day

A Tribute to Chain of Life Teachers

Last year, we proudly honoured volunteer police officers who, often behind the scenes, ensure the transport of organs at any time of the day or night. This year, we are paying tribute to those who form the first link in the chain of life: our Chain of Life teachers. Bearers of knowledge and humanity, they guide thousands of young people aged 15 to 17 every year to explore the medical, ethical, sociological, cultural and religious questions surrounding organ and tissue donation, to reflect, to make an informed decision and to discuss it with their families. In doing this, youth become ambassadors of family dialogue about a crucial societal issue that could one day touch every family. and take action by becoming ambassadors for family discussions on this social issue that could one day affect every family.

Education As a Driving Force

Education about organ and tissue donation also helps raise awareness of the priceless value of a healthy body and of the responsibility of taking care of it in order to reduce the need for transplants linked to the rise in chronic diseases. Young people are called upon to become advocates of healthy lifestyles within their circles and families, and since school reaches every family, it holds the power to transform our society. In short, Chain of Life banks on education and our youth as the driving force for building a true culture of donation and good health in Québec, starting today.

Presence in Schools

Today, thanks to the unwavering support of teachers and the community, and with your support during the Challenge, Chain of Life is taught in more than 100 schools across 15 regions of Québec.
