Hi, It is a tremendous honour for me to be the flag bearer for the 2025 Chain of Life Challenge and to represent the beautiful Montréal region. Teachers play a key role in the chain of life that unites everyone involved in the cause of organ and tissue donation. Thank you to Chain of Life for highlighting Chain of Life teachers this year. But above all, let’s come together to support those who are anxiously waiting for an organ by climbing mont Royal on October 19 as part of World Organ and Tissue Donation Day. Together, we will proudly raise the Chain of Life flag at the summit of the mountain in their name. By presenting the Chain of Life Program to my students every year, I hope to inspire hope for a future without a waiting list. I hope to give students the knowledge they need to make the choice that is right for them. I hope to inspire health and mindfulness by encouraging them to reflect on the decisions they make today and the impact those decisions can have on their own lives and the lives of others. Finally, I hope to foster altruism by encouraging them to think of others. In short, teaching the Chain of Life Program empowers our 16 to17 year-olds to become thoughtful, compassionate, and informed young adults, ready to save more lives. By investing in our youth and their potential to act as agents of change, we will succeed in building a true culture of donation in Quebec. Just as it takes a whole village to raise a child, teachers need the support of all members of our community. You never know if one day you or someone you love may need an organ. We all want a healthy community, and education is essential in achieving this goal. I invite you to climb along with me or to make a donation to my team: Ms. Doris' students, friends and family. Your support will help roll out the Chain of Life Program in all high schools across Quebec. Thousands of students will be informed, families will be engaged, and ultimately, more lives will be saved. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing many of you there!
